then you need a doctor to prescribe something stronger... you could have something else other than a "flaky scalp", especially if anti-dandruff shampoos are not working.

there are many prescription strength scalp lotions that will help you better than over-the-counter shampoos

As others have suggested check with a doctor just in case.

My OH who suffers from Psoriasis and uses Soak & Float Shampoo bar at Lush.

Pros: Works really well, totally natural ingredients, not tested on animals.

Cons: The bar smells of tar (but you get used to it in your bathroom or buy lots of other lovely smelling thing from Lush, well that's my excuse!)

Dry the Dandruff shampoo by Redken....nothing would get rid of my husbands and that helped a lot....I can't remember the name right off the top of my head, but Redken made it...you will have to get it at a salon, or possibly Ebay....Good Luck!

I have used listerment (the mouth wash). Pour some on your scalp, let set for 5-10 then wash. There is also nothing wrong with rubbing a abundance of lotion and let it set for about a hour then wash. They have both work for me before.

I would pay a visit to your dermatologist. You might have a case of dandruff treatable only by prescription drugs.
