It isn't because of the pope or any other crazy reason....we worship on Sunday, the first day of the week, because that is when Jesus rose from the dead.
His resurrection is why we have hope and faith in HIM!!!!! No other "god" can say that they rose from the dead....all gods are dead. JESUS ISN'T!!!!! Sunday is the Lord's day, as with every day that we have in Him......
I pray that cleared up any confusion. :)

Always know Jesus loves you and wants to save you from the pits of hell. (John 3:16) We are all damned to go there because of our sin nature, but because Christ died for our sins and rose again, we can be in heaven forever with Jesus!!!!! (Romans 3:23 and 6:23) Just accept Him as your Lord and Savior...give your life to Him....and live in HIS GLORY!!!!! Your life will NEVER be the same........He loves you. :)

In Christ forever and always, Sabrina

I wonder about alot of things-one is why people hate Jesus so much till they believe in Him-people dont cuss and put down fairy tails lol tales-anyways why sunday-why not sunday-its sun day-trumped by Son day. Ok one he rose on Sunday-saturday at sundown in the Jewish relm begins the new day. On saturday the sabbath Jewish people couldnt carry money-so to take up collections for the needed-Sunday was perfect for that too. When we come to Jesus we begin the sabbath rest-priests work every day-offering sacrifices-so are we to do to in our never ending Sabbath resting in Jesus doing his perfect will! why do millions worship Jesus on Sunday-cause its the best day-yet if we only worship him on sunday-we miss the best -we are the temple of Jesus to worship Him every day-but collectively on SONday!!! horay and dont forget-"Not forsaking the gathering of yourself as some do, but exhorting one another and so much the more as ye see the day of the Lord approaching."

In history, the Romans changed our calendar days and it was said that Saturday was the sabbath, that is why you have Seventh Day Adventist that go to church on Saturday. I believe in having church everyday. Jesus Christ is my lord and savior.
