There are a few things I wish my parents had helped me with before I left home. One was money management. Knowing what my expenses would be, the dangers of credit cards and how to budget would have been helpful. Another would be to know a few good/easy things to cook so I didn't eat canned soup and spaghetti for three years.

well, i wish my parents had told me of how important it is keep a clean credit so that my transition to adulthood would be a lot easier - like trying to buy a house, etc.

pls - good financial advice is one of the best gifts a parent can give a child leaving home for the first time. plus of course that by respecting himself, he is respecting his family's name.
