Unfortunately, you can't. Wordpad is a basic text editor with one or two additions. It doesn't have a spell checker built in. You can find and download spell checkers from the internet to use with it.
Better to use a full fledged word processor like MS Word.

Word Pad is like a typewriter, except on a computer screen. It has no real features, esp spell check.
Copy the text, paste it into an Outlook Express mail window, then run its spellcheck. Recopy-n-paste the text back into your document. Or, if there is some other formatting, look at what it says is wrong, and fix it on the WP document.
