Well, if you can't just taste it and sip it very, very slowly, than pretend you wouldn't like the taste, and don't even start. But that "drunk 2 quickly" has an ominous sound to it: like you expect you will eventually get drunk. I don't get that. Every time I have gotten drunk -- literally every time -- I have regretted it. Seems to me the regret should eventually remind you not to drink enough to get drunk.

Savor the flavor of a well-mixed drink or a lady cocktail, or a glass of wine, but don't put in any real volume, and you can be the one recognizing that ladies who get drunk make terrible fools of themselves. A wry smile is the most that is polite; but inside you can cackle with laughter to realize what they are going to feel like in the morning, and how good you are going to feel for having remained in control of yourself.

Like you really need to ask this question? The ONLY drink you should have at the meal is a SIP from the wine glass when they give the toast to the bride and groom. Then just coast. There should be lots of non-alcoholic beverages around so you won't go thirsty. A wedding that begins at 1 p.m. can last a long, long time, so you're going to have to pace yourself. Even if the booze is free. That's one benefit to a cash bar, it helps to cut down on the number of drinks that average person has!
Enjoy the wedding, and congratulations to the bride and groom.

Hi it all depends on how much wine you can drink before you feel drunk. If all it takes is 1 glass then drink more slowly and then have a soft drink between each drink to take time to sober up.

Don't avoid the wine, but make sure you drink plenty of water too. It's the dehydration that always gets me when I drink wine. Have a great time!

NAH! go for it, it's a celebration. The best thing is to pace yourself in the day, have one alcoholic drink then a glass of water. Trust me it works! But enjoy yourself, thats the main thing, afterall weddings are meant tobe fun!

it depends on how quick you get drunk, if you like the wine then have a glass but make sure you have a glass of water with you so you drink the wine because you like the taste, drink the water because you are thirsty.
