I have been on the 7 day Disney Cruise 5 times. It is wonderful!!
If you have children they have a fantastic crew that works hard to plan activities according to age groups. I have seen parents having to pretty much drag their children out of the clubs in order to go to bed~~ the kids were having too much fun to leave. There are also characters roaming the ship daily which is fun for the little kids and the big kids alike!
If you are just going with adults, there is plenty of things to do. The adult pool is a good place to start! Noone under age 18, and they do check!! There are also 2 hot tubs for just the adults. Their gym/spa area is fantastic as well. (Even if you do not intend on visiting the spa during your stay, go for a tour the first day you are on the ship, it is amazing!)
There are events all day long, towel folding, cake decorating, wine tasting...
You will not be hungry all week! All food is inclusive with the sit down restaurants for dinner, on a rotating schedule so you experience all amazing locations. Your Waiters follow you nightly so they get to know you and your tastes and by the 2 or 3 night they will have your drink waiting for you (if you have same thing). Breakfast and lunch you have your choice of buffet or sit down, or one of the food locations on the top deck such as pizza, hot dog, hamburger, chicken burgers, sandwiches, salads etc. I could go on and on.
My personal recommendation, You cannot miss trying out Palo's for dinner and brunch. There is an additional charge for this like $10 per person, but you can order anything you want and the waiters bring other food as well that you MUST try! Dinner they offer the best dessert on the ship, Chocolate Souffle!!! Absolutely a must try with fresh vanilla and chocolate sauce! For brunch~ it is just amazing. Also a MUST try~ Stollen Bread, you put the jam on top of the bread, then whipped cream topped off with fresh berries!! YUMMY!!!
There is so much fresh fruit on the ship it is excellent!
One of the best parts of the ship is the last day, Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. EXCELLENT!!! There are times where you can feel like the only people on the island if you find the quiet areas!!
Not to be rude, but if you don't enjoy it, then you don't know what relaxing is.

It was a fantastic cruise. We booked it as part of a package - 3 days at Disney and 4 day cruise, I think. It was the most stress free vacation I ever took. Disney took care of EVERYTHING, including busing us to the cruise ship terminal and transporting our bags from the hotel to the ship. We didn't even have to change room keys! The same key card worked both at the hotel and on board. The food was great, and there was a ton of stuff to do both on board and at Castaway Key (Disney's private island) I definitely recommend it!

I have cruised with Disney twice now, as well as some other cruise lines, and I would say, hands down, Disney is well worth it! We have cruised Disney with and without kids. Both times were exceptional and I would go again in a heartbeat. Disney may be more expensive for some times of the year, but it was well worth the extra money for the great service and experience.
Let me tell you the reasons I really prefer Disney for cruising. First, there is no casino. For us this was a plus because that meant there wasn't one entire deck of the ship we had to avoid because it was a cloud of smoke. There is plenty to do on the ship for adults at night; we had a great time going to the clubs after dinner every night and dancing while our daughter played in her kids club.
Speaking of the kids club, Disney has the best! You can drop your kids off at 9am and not have to pick them up until 1am! They will feed them, entertain them and wear them out! Of course we didn't leave our daughter there all day, but it was really nice to see how excited she was to go see her friends in the kids club. Carnival wanted $5 or 10 an hour after 9 or 10pm to watch your kids. Disney is free until 1am. Like I said, it was nice to be able to go to the clubs after dinner and know she was having fun. Every morning our daughter would wake up and ask when she could go play with her friends. There are lots of organized activities for the kids of all ages and they are grouped by age so the older kids aren't stuck with the babies. I was also impressed with the quality of the facilities and programs for kids. I never worried about anything with my daughter the whole week!
The rooms on Disney are very large and include a small bathtub, which you don't necessarily need if your kids are older, but it was great when our daughter was little. Our inside cabin was the same size as a balcony cabin on Carnival. And it was really nice to have a curtain that pulls closed to give you a teeny bit of privacy. Although when your kids are in the club you can do what you'd like! Disney is also one of the few lines that can accomodate 5 in the cabin.
Disney service is unmatched on any ship in my experience. Our waiters really served us well, and our room steward was so good!
The best prices for Disney are in the off season, Jan-Mar. We went once the first week of April and there were plenty of kids on the ship. And since they match them up by age, the older kids don't feel like they are stuck with the babies. And the older kids have cool computers and stuff to play with.
Check out the reviews on www.cruisecritic.com and see what others are saying. I think you will find that most people really find Disney cruises exceptional. I guess if you hated Disney characters, etc. this wouldn't be a good match. But if you are a family wanting to really have a nice combination of time together and time apart, Disney is the ticket!
Happy Sails!

Yes! We loved it and the kids loved it....was pleasantly surprised!! Even though everyone said we would enjoy it, I was skeptical. Everyone I know (about 5 families) that have been have liked it as well. Best one for kids/families. You could probably go on to the Disney website to learn more about what they have to offer and if it is for you.
