even in very small breeds of dogs at 6 weeks you can clearly see whether it is male or female.As for it licking its bits it is because they can and it is a way of keeping themselves clean.i have a 9 year old ***** that licks herself constantly after going to the toilet which is normal.if you are really uncertain about the sex you should go to a vet.hope this helps

If you don't see something OBVIOUS on it's tummy, then it is a girl, otherwise that long tube on the tummy is it's penis and it is a boy. Problem solved.

Also, the other dog is licking it because that is how they get to know each other, or maybe it is just cleaning the little one.

It is very easy to look on the belly of a puppy and see if there is a penis. If you are saying you have another puppy, can't you compare the two?????

Is its sex visible in middle of tummy or at the back nearer the tail? If in middle, is a female.
