It makes no sense, since by granting amnesty to illegals, they'd turn into LEGALS and so would start paying TAXES and doing things the right way - in short, they wouldn't be criminals-, wouldn't they??? I think what the people who run this board are trying to do is keep it from turning into yet another post and repost shout match. I can appreciate this, though sometimes it doesn't work to my, or in this case, your benefit.
I've been on a lot of boards that pretty much devolved into sh?t slings, and I'm kind of happy that this one remains somewhat innocent because of its design and implementation.
There are lots of places we can go where we can have it out with other posters, for better or worse. I go straight to the Yahoo news boards when I want a good shot of vitriol.
Here I hang out and hopefully just exercise a more civil kind of discourse.
Incidentally, I pretty much agree with what you said in the reported post. It seems to me most of the ranting about illegals is just another form of racism. And classism.

The thing about racicm these days is that anyone at any given time could be accused of racism. I bet if BET stands for the black entertainment channel And is excepted right now to be ok.
Then I bet almost anything if we came up with WET The white entertainment channel. It would be called racist, And as far as culture goes Ask any immigrant or someone other than white if they have a problem with the way things are in this country just go back home They wouldn't.
I'm not racist. I recieved an email from someone that pretty much summed it up. You know damn well that an African american Who feels opressed or picked on would flip if you said fine go back to Africa....Do you honestly think they would? Africa sucks! I mean they have the worst laws, the country is going to **** and don't forget about the Genacide,. They've killed more of there own people than Hitler killed Jews.And Hitler was a d--k head. I think anybody who sets foot on American soil Legal or not should absolutely pay the same taxes as we do.

They are keeping almost all the profits and getting rich because they don't have to pay taxes on anything I don't think they even have to pay taxes on the products they put on the shelf for you to buy because they are tax exempt. And they are smart for doing this. Wouldn't you take advantage of that kind of law and make it lucrative for yourself too?

no amnesty. they need to pay to be legal. how to you think the legal immigrants feel when they hear are screwed up gov yell amnesty. and they payed to be here. not cool.this mess is going to keep up and the American people are going to be very angry, they may not be able to controll there anger. and that's for all illegals. maybe you should try reading between the lines some times. you figure people out like that to. every one that answered you questions are not racist. there tired of the crap. and it is the illegal Mexicans that are more racist. what are you American born? if so then your an American first then a Mexican.
i got 4 violations yesterday. one was because i said who care what they wear. go figure. people are wacked. just lol about it and go on.

Amnesty is not the answer. We cannot reward 12 million illegal Mexican immigrants for breaking our laws. That doesn't mean a guest worker arrangement can't be put into effect.
But no...you don't break our laws and then say "Make me a citizen."
I'm not going to lie to you that the race thing isn't there. Of course it is. I don't want to live in Mexico. And really why should I have to?
But I also don't want 12 million Russians, Danes, Somalis or any other nation to just walk across the border.
How about 12 million white Americans go into Mexico and just set up shop. I bet we could find a way to make your oil turn a profit...
Would Mexicans enjoy that or would they want us to go home??

Are you kidding me??? Cry me a river!! You need to shut the hell up and get a life. If you really cared you would do something about it. Anti illegal has nothing, ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with race. It has to do with respect. The illegals are disrespecting America and we don't like it. And ya I'll admit most of the problem comes from illegal Mexicans. and its not just the fact that they are illegal, anybody that has immigrated to America legal or illegal should be respectful. That means respecting our flag, respecting our people, paying taxes, controlling the amount of children you have when you can't even take care of your self, paying your fair share. Does that mean 3 people reported you and that's what they said? I know for a fact yahoo doesn't read these reports before sending them on to you with a warning. I got reported with no reason given--just a semi-colon whatever the hell that means (2 eyes?). I think these people need to learn to either argue the point or respond with a thumbs down. Thumbs down means you don't like the q or a and that you disagree. Flagging should be saved for sick wackos and people who are totally incoherant, not for people you disagree with.

read the above properly I can't find the so called racist statement in it and I am a Race Relations Officer, people should take their time and read things through! I agree that giving skilled or honest workers the right to earn a place in the society they have managed to get into is fair.

People get violations all the time,I once got one in the fine dinning section,because I said I didn't like a certain cheese. So some one reported me ..Its really gotten ridicules a lot of people that deserve a violation never seem to get one and no you have never insulted me.

the whole point is NOT race...the whole point is Mexico is the richest of the Central American countries yet it expects middle-class Americans to support their castoffs! Mexico pays 1.7 million dollars a year to lobby congress.
If you are as rich as you said in one posting, why aren't you trying to help your own people instead of sitting in front of your computer complaining about the actions of Americans - which is absolutely none of your concern!
