My ex is completely still in love with me. He sends me these long emails that drag on about how he is still hung up on me and how he thinks about me all the time. I havent had the heart to tell him Im dating someone else, sooo... should i?

You really shouldn't put yourself through this. Though it may be difficult for him at first, it would be even more painful for him if he were to find out when it's too late. Discuss the matter with him carefully. If you don't tell him soon he may feel betrayed and somewhat 'strung-along'.

Let him know what's happening. Believe me, you would be doing both yourselves a huge favor.

Good luck :).

I think that depends on a few things. Like how long it's been & who you're seeing for starters. If the new beau isn't someone you're serious about then I don't see the point in causing your ex any further angst. Are you responding to these emails? Are you trying to stay friends with him or do you just want him out of your life? If you think he’s going to find out on his own, then yes, you should at least let him hear it from you. But if not, listen to him if you want to maintain a friendship & make sure he knows you’re there for him in that capacity. Good luck!

Yes you should. Unless the guy is a freak (sounds like he may be) it should help him get over it. You have to show him that there is no chance that you will ever be back together. Don't talk to him at all. Every time you communicate with him it will only give him hope that you will be back together one day if he keeps trying.

You're obviously dragging him on, and you shouldn't do that. You should bluntly tell him you are dating someone else and that's it's a bad idea for him to keep writing like that.

Sometimes I think women consider a guys feelings too much it's better to let him know that you're involved w/ some one else.

For sure...tell him so that he can move on and find someone else too. Don't keep him hanging on when there's no chance. It's much more humane that way!

you are so lucky...anyways, you have to tell him...you might him somewhere when he finds you with your current guy..that might be worse! so keeping that in mind, tell him how you are not the same girl he knew and how your choice is someone different now.
