Steamed crab legs, grilled shrimp, clarified butter for dipping, microwave a couple potatoes and load them up for your side, and maybe an easy salad.
All in all, it'll take between 20-30 minutes before you're both sitting down together to enjoy.

Beef Stroganoff:
This classic Russian dish is easy to make; use frozen chopped onions and presliced mushrooms to speed preparation. To maintain a creamy consistency, be careful not to bring the sauce to a boil once you stir in the sour cream mixture. Serve with rice if you need a substitute for egg noodles.
1 (8-ounce) carton reduced-fat sour cream
3 tablespoons no salt-added tomato paste
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 pounds boneless sirloin steak, cut into (2-inch) strips
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (14-ounce) can less-sodium beef broth
2 cups sliced mushrooms
Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
8 cups cooked medium egg noodles (about 7 cups uncooked pasta)
Combine the first 3 ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a large zip-top plastic bag. Add beef; seal and shake to coat beef with flour mixture.
Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion to pan; sauté 2 minutes or until tender. Add beef and flour mixture to pan; sauté 3 minutes or until beef is browned. Gradually add broth, scraping pan to loosen browned bits. Add mushrooms; cover and cook 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Reduce heat to low; gradually stir in sour cream mixture. Cook, uncovered, 1 minute or until heated (do not boil). Stir in parsley, if desired. Serve over the egg noodles.
Yield: 8 servings (serving size: 3/4 cup beef mixture and 1 cup noodles)

Four cheese, four mushroom, Escargot Pizza. Cook the escargot till almost crunchy in garlic and butter. Cook the mushrooms in the snail butter. Grease the pizza pan with the snail butter. Spread the dough, top with pizza sauce, add grated cheeses (your choice) top with mushrooms, escargot and bake until perfect. Open some good red wine and enjoy.
CHICKEN MARSALA - In first frying pan, Cut boneless chicken into chunks or strips, coat with flour and cook in butter until all sides just start to brown, set aside. In second frying pan, melt butter and add fresh sliced mushrooms (lots) and cook until they just start to soften, add generous amount of Marsala wine and a couple of finely diced garlic cloves and cook for three minutes. Add chicken from first pan and cook until sauce thickens (flour from chicken will thicken sauce), Add a small spritz more Marsala wine ( to refresh Marsala wine flavor) and serve immediately.
BANANAS FOSTER (for two)- In a frying pan, 1 tbsp Butter, 3 tbsp Brown sugar and two bananas sliced length wise and halved. Cook on moderate heat adding rum and a pinch of cinnamon until bananas soften and the sauce begins to thicken (Caramelize). Remove from heat and serve over Vanilla ice cream (in large red wine glasses is nice) and serve immediately.

I have two.
Elbow macaroni with ground beef and peas all mixed together. You can put cheese on top if they are resistent. I eat it with ketchuo, my son likes it with hot sauce.
Also, if your kids will eat beans, this takes 10 mins.
Take a can of black beans( or whatever) leave some of the liquid with them and heat them in a saucepan. sometimes i put onions in the beans. then you fry eggs.
Put a tortilla on a plate, cover with beans. top it with the eggs and out cheddar cheese on top of the eggs. Nuke it until cheese melts. Then you can add salsa or fresh tomatoes. Ranch Hand Eggs. We eat this once a week
Sorry I thought you mentioned something about kids- nevermind
duh

Snow crab legs (available at Wal-Mart or BI-LO or other grocer), nice salad (get the pre-done baggies), baked potatoes, Texas garlic toast (real cheap at Wal-Mart freezer section). Dessert: strawberry shortcake (that or simile at Wal-Mart). Very little prep, excellent taste!

fry (preferably in margarine or butter) salmon steaks on very low heat, turning until barely orange in center. Season with salt, pepper. Serve with baked potatoes (you can nuke them or bake in oven...if in the oven put them in 40 minutes before you start the salmon) and a green salad. Enjoy.
