Coat with oil, roast until skin is black, then put in a paper bag. The steam will cause the skin to fall off easily.

Get the grill very hot first. Wash the whole peppers and put them on the grill..have tongs and a paper bag ready, turn the peppers often until all sides are brown to black. Remove from grill and place in a paper bag and close bag tightly. Let cool in the bag. When cool the skins will fall off the pepper and the meat will have a nice fire roasted flavor. Sherri

dipped in garlic oil !!
Chop up some garlic and add this to a cup of olive or sunflower oil. Leave it there for half a day (stirring it every 2 hours) .
Now dip the peppers and roast them on a sheet of alu-foil (so that the garlic stays.

I have never done that but you make sure you only burn the skin & not the meat of the chili, we usually when they are don roasting, we wrap them in wet towel till cool & the peeling should come right off

Coat them in olive oil and then put them straight on the rack above a medium flame. Rotate them making sure they are getting blackened all around. After they are about 60-70% blackened, put them in a ziploc for about 5 mins to let them steam and then peel and they are ready to eat.
