I have to admit that most of my friends are white. Well, I don't have that many friends, anyway! But I think it just depends on where you live/work/etc.
2 years ago, I had a friend who was from French but whose parents were Algerians. And, yes, she was a Muslim. We lost touch because I moved out of town.
When I was a teen, I lived on a French island where the population is very mixed. Everybody is French (except for a few Comorians who arrived a few years ago, but maybe they got French nationality, I don't know), but from different backgrounds.
So, I was in group of friends. To show how mixed our group was, there was:
One French girl from Metropole (France)
Me (my dad is from this island, a bit of white creole and Indian as well, and I'm an 8th Italian as well)
One creole with a nose a tiny bit flat, but not really...
One creole who looked more white than me (probably straight from French ancestors, no mixing with the African population - told you it's a mixed island!)
2 Chinese girls (actually, one of them was of Hong Kongian origin!)
One Indian (don't even know if she was Tamuld, actually - we never talked about it!)
What I mean is, it doesn't matter what your skin colour is. If you happen to get along well, people don't care about such things. Only extremists of all types create problems. That, and poverty.
But I understand where you're coming from. As I say, it just depends on who you go to school with. Who lives in your neighbourhood. etc.

The circle of friends I have is made up of many colors, ethnic backgrounds, etc..While we're keenly aware of stereotypes, and occasionally bring them into conversation, the glue of kinship is much stronger than the differences bewteen us...
I'm a bottom line kind of guy, the people that I consider friends are the same way..
What unites us as friends is an intolerance for stupidity, while having a willingness to be open to new ideas through intelligent discussion and spirited debate,or a NFL game with lots of beer!!!(NOW THAT'S HONEST!!)

Why would you even ask a question like that? Are you prejudice? The "be honest" part of your question makes it seem as if you would lie if you were asked, so we would also. Well I very much enjoy having black friends, and any other race. religion, or disability. Friends are friends either way you look at it. As a matter of fact, my "ethnic" friends turn out to be better friends than most white girls!

There you bypass again evaluating gays and Blacks. what percentage gays were extra over on slave ships? What amendments, precisely, enable crime and racism? i do not imagine you even understand what racism is. preclude the authorities from operating? the full idea behind the american Revolution develop right into a lot less authorities. The structure would not say some thing about marriage, because relations regulation, like the different issues left out in the structure, is reserved to the STATES. SLAVES were acknowledged as 3/5, no longer ALL Blacks. there develop into also no killing of gays through the founding fathers

Maybe you should stop seeing the 'ethnicity' thang. I have some ethnic mates *god, i hate that word* but thats simply because i live in an area with a large 3rd generational immigrant population

In the area I live in, there are so many cultures. It would be very hard for me to just have white friends. I like all my friends anyways. I don't see colors.

Yes some of them do I think because they learn something different about other people's cultures and ways. In a way they both benefit the same way.

My experience - Latin point of view - white people enjoy befriending intelligent, educated, assimilated people from other cultures. They compliment me a lot and admire my success.
