Simple, its Bush's fault. Bush and Saddam should trade places.

The reason this so called trial has been prolonged is because of the Lawyers...they make around a $1000 an hour or more because of the so called danger's they could possibly face. The troops in Iraq need not be there anymore, the longer they stay the better it looks for Bush. Ask yourself this, why did it take 18 months to send troops to Iraq reference the 911 incident...The US had all the relevant intel yet they put it on hold because they did not want to pursue the wrong people. BullSH-T!
Saddam is as guilty as sin yet they need to be sure that he is not innocent of the veil crimes he performed on his own countrymen.

After WWII when the NAZI leaders were arrested Winston Churchill wanted them marched outside and shot on the spot!
But the Nuremberg trials showed the world that democracy should rule.
Saddam WILL get his day with the hangman - even at times when the trial looks pointless.
The Nuremberg trials were from 1945 to 1949.
And I can not believe that some people on here are saying that SADDAM is better than BUSH.
You people make me SICK!!!

U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, who as someone rightly said is on his defense team, said the trial was a farce and that it has little or nothing to do with justice in the way that we in the west think.
If they are going to try him it should be done properly. The court should be held in an independant country to protect the defense team, the jury, judges and wittnesses etc. It is in the interests of the waring factions in Iraq to continually distupt the trial, so it's no supprise that they are.
Anyone who says that Sadam is better than Bush is either an idiot or Evil. I don't like Bush but he is infinately better than Sadam Hussein.

Saddam is already dead. The guy they have on trial is probably one of his fake Saddams. IT's all a show to keep people from actually finding out that it's a diversion from the capping of the oil fields.

Instead of farting about they should just poison the bastards cocoa. All this time he is being kept alive in warmth, and comfort, fed and clothed- the longer he strings it out, the more chance he has of getting off completely because he will be "Too old" like Pinochet, or "too ill" like the Guinness fraud chap who used to be allowed home on Sundays in his Rolls so he could have dinner with his family, and "recovered" from the supposed Alzheimers he was said to have. Too many do-gooders; hand him over to the families of the people he killed- he is getting away with mass genocide while the world just watches, like NATO does.

Judging by the mess Bush and Blair have made the best course of action would be to let him go, he'd soon have the country back in line and the country would be all the better for it.

It is easier for the president to let this go on for a long time because he is not the one that is risking his life. If he had to be at the front line, we would not be at war today....
