I used to be huge and I lost 35 lbs. in a year (gained 6 because I "slipped") but now I'm back on track (under 220 but more than 150....used to be 252!).

I know some guys aren't attracted to fat chicks, however, my question is this (to any guy): would you date a plus-size woman if she were in the process of losing weight?

I am doing this not for any guy but for my health because I don't want to die when I'm 40. Okay...so I might do it for the "looks issue," but to me, it's more of a health thing.

P.S. I count calories and work out/go for walks 5X a week :)

First of all congrats! Not only on the weight loss but also on the determination and GREAT goal (the health thing).

To answer your question, probably yes... but it depends on the guy.

You will find out guys will definitely be more attracted to you only after you lose all the weight you want. It doesn't make it right but that's just the way it is. Even so, you should continue living healthy and find out (if I'm wrong or right), it will be worth it.

Good luck

I'm going to be looking for a woman that is confident in being a woman, and that does show.
If you look at history and the art the has survived the test of time you will see that there are no stick people.
Men are attracted to curves. Not sticks. Now with that said being overweight shows you do not care for yourself, so keep doing what you are doing. Get tonedd, respect yourself and take confidence in your womanhood. Show men you are worth being with. Let your personality show though, and show you are working on staying alive and able to enjoy life with your partner.

I used to have a 'fat chick' for a girl friend and I accepted her for who she was. If she wanted to lose weight, it wasn't a factor for me to either stick around or leave. It was for her. I think that if you find someone, he's buying the package as he sees it today. You don't want to sell him a package of what it might look like tomorrow. If he thinks your being thinner is a great idea, and you don't make it, you have set him up for a big disappointment.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

Yes, but forget about guys for now and just keep losing the weight. It's pure math: If you're 30 lbs overweight, you will attract less desirable men. If you are thin, you will have a greater pool to choose from.

It depends on where the weight is. A little extra in the chest and belly area isnt bad, but if all you have is cottage-cheese thighs, then no way. But sure, I would consider dating a larger woman.
