read starting in Isaiah 40, the book of consolation and continue till you feel more peaceful

or

read start in Psalm 1 and keep reading till you feel bettwe

I also recommend the book "Future Grace" by John Piper which I think is very theraputic and has a reading 1 each every day for a month and I think its good for people in stress

Just walk, in nature, breath. two steps in two steps out. Half hour.. Breathing exercises/yoga..

Chi movement in any right arm to left knee and vise versa. You also can get a chi machine, they work well, or swimming. Tai chi helps, even a simple tai-chi warmup//Do walking or chi movement before spiritual work.

Sit straight on a chair, surround with white light and know you are protected. Imagine a white cord up and a red cord down to the center of the earth. You will feel when "you are there", when the connection is made again.. Through the red cord ground out your stress//

Take a hot bath, relax, let go, surrender. Go for a massage...

Sometimes (like every 6 mnths) you need fat replacement especially when vegetarian, you can use (clarified) butter, sometimes I use whipping cream// If you eat meat, I hear red meat grounds, I do not eat meat and do not know if this is really the case...

Use your intuition. O-ring testing (ok sign with both hands push with one ring in the other, comes apart no, fingers stay together yes). If you get it to work then you can go on and find the answer, the best way to ground for you. It also keeps your ego-mind out of things..

Since you asked this question in this particular section of Yahoo answers I have excellent advice for you: Pray! Take all of your problems to God. He is the only one that can give you peace that surpasses all understanding anyway. God Bless....

Do something physical like wash dishes, mow the lawn, run the vacuum. The physical movement will clear your mind and restore you.

I would suggest seeing a counselor and maybe doing stress-relieving activities (exercise is a good way to relieve stress).

And always, always rely on Christ, not your own "powers."

many people use marijuana for that. ask yourself is there a cause. Where is the mistake in how you think about that cause, if no mistake then have you thought through the cause cuz avoidance is a root cause in many mental afflictions
