Jesus was telling his friends he loved them so much he was willing to die for them and that aplys to us to he died for us but if we truely love some one we would die to save them

Jesus died on the Cross for us and our sins. That as a Christian, we should follow in His footsteps. We should have faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in His Blood. We should be willing to lay down our lives for our fellow men.
The Father sent His only begotten Son , Jesus, WHO IS God to die in our place. Remember that the wages of sin is death. That's is why He died to pay our wages. The Lord, Jesus Christ was your substitutionary sacrifice. The world's greatest love story is summed up by the following verses:
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; so that whosoever believed in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.(John 3:16)
Jesus said, "Greater love hath no man than in this ,that a man lay down his life for his friends"(John 15:13)
How can you show more love than giving your very life for someone's else's life? You can't .
What's more amazing, is that Jesus died for us when we were His enemies. I mean vile, pitiful, unclean, wretched , unprideful, unholy, and spiritually leperous.

JESUS' love is so tremendous that he loves us with His Sacred Heart whether we commit sins or not.
That if a man truly loves his friends, he will be forgiving, compassionate, loving, there for his friends, and make ANY sacrifice necessary.
Jesus was one of a kind, and I am glad He is there for me.
You couldn't find a better friend on this Earth like JESUS.

Meaning the best way you can show your love is to sacrifice yourself for that person or people (eluding to Jesus' own death on the cross for all the world)

It means that Jesus laid down His life for you and me. Because of His sacrifice, I can be saved. Ni one else could do that for me. I accepted Him years ago.

It means to me, that because one Man (Jesus) GAVE His life for mine (exchange), I have the right to Eternal Life (change), and my life is no longer alone but have a friend for life (NEVER CHANGE)
