I think it's happened to all of us at some point in our youths.
What was the reason mommy/daddy/aunty/grandma/etc. forced you to get a new look?
Thought it'd look cute?

Oh yes!!!! don't get me started on this one, haha well currently it is a style to have your hair really really short {well that is if you listen to hip-hop/rap music}, by short i mean almost like the militery people do, but according to my dad and mom it is a so-called "gangster style/imitation" so we always have arguement of this, everytime i get a hair-cut, well my parents are in control right now, so i can't really get that hair-style. so i have like not long, but like big puffy kind of hair, u know what i me?

Mine were opposite, they didnt let me cut my hair, so at 16 I thought I was old enough to make my own decisions, well about my hair anyway :) went and got it cut, they claim it was easier to take care of...NOT!!! my dad just liked long hair so I had to keep it that way

my mother made me keep my hair cut short when I was younger because she said that long hair was to hard to take care of. I looked a boy until I was about 9. That's when I got boobs...lol

When I was really little, my mom made me keep my hair super short (like little boy short) because she's creeped out by playing with other people's hair. I couldn't grow it any longer until I could brush and style it myself so she wouldn't have to.

Yes, I always had short hair and awful awful bangs, the kind that started at the middle of my head.Once I was old enough I grew it out very long and no bangs.

YES. i wanted to be bald - or at least SUPER SHORT. my parents didn't have the money for a hair cut all the time (i would have it cut daily if i could) so it would grow out and touch my ears or forehead and i would CRY! "it's touching me. make it stop. it hurts. my hair hurts. cut it. CUT it . CUT IT. OFF OFF OFF"

no never everytime i wanted to cut my hair the only thing that i would get from my dad was no because he loves long hair but my hair cuts were always my choice!!!!

no. i went behind my moms back and used manic panic to dye my hair. I called her and told her i was on my way home and to prepare herself because my hair went from dark brown to dark red. she yelled at me over the phone.
when i got home, she took me outside so she could take pictures of the sun hitting my hair. i wasn't in trouble. at first, i thought she was going to kill me. she loved it!
whew!
