Brent F this would be a fast paced hard fought action packed bout between two fantastic fighters. Through the first 8 rounds the fight would be about even with tremendous punishment shown on both men's faces. About the 11th round Gomez lands a counter left hook to the jaw of Olivares and the referee count to ten in a great fight.

Olivares - W 88 (KO's 78) TF 104 - W pct 85% - KO pct 75% - wins over Rose, Castillo[2] and Chacon - KO'ed by Castillo, Herrea, Arguello, D. Lopez and Pedrosa (It could be considered too many KO losses for such a great fighter) - #12 ranked puncher - #29 ranked fighter

Gomez - W 44 (KO's 42) TF 48 - W pct 92% - KO pct 88% - wins over Cervantes, Zarate, Pintor, LaPorte and Cruz - KO'ed by Sanchez, Nelson and A. Lane - #13 ranked puncher - #54 ranked fighter

Both men go at each other in a very vicious bout. Both men are cut, bloody and bruised. Both men go to the canvas on several occasions. Olivares wins by a referee stoppage in rd 13. Olivares' experience carries the day.
