Healing a broken heart just takes time and patience and you have to acknowledge the hurt to get through it. If you are wise, you learn the lessons you were meant to learn as a result of the relationship and better yourself because of them. It wont hurt so much down the line, even in a few months, it will feel differently, and in a year it will feel way different. You will hopefully be able to look back and smile instead of hurt, and you will if you let yourself. Just takes time. Distract yourself with a hobby or something. Read books if you like to read.

There is no easy way to heal a broken heart. Sometimes, that broken heart may last a lifetime. What YOU have to do is just move on and don't let it get you down. My mother used to tell me "one monkey don't run no show", and as I have gotten older, I understand better.
Some people are special in our lives and although we may go forward, the thought of them is always present. Maybe it just means we connected with another human being on a totally different level, hopefully it's not a bad thing.

I think you can. It takes a long time, cause if you were together a long time then it makes it harder to move on. I can say that I am a widow now after my husband offed himself three months ago. It kills me every day to think maybe there was something I could have done that I didn't. You can do it I know you can. I can too, it just takes time. dwelling on it doesn't help either. Just find some friends, and people you enjoy being around. Fill your time with others, maybe you'll meet someone new. Find a hobby, adopt a pet. It takes time to adjust, but you have to move on for your own good.
Good luck!

You can get over someone completely, you just need to move on. If you still think about someone then you might have loved them. If you don't then they didn't mean anything. Im guessing your talking about your first love, and they are REALLY hard not to think about because they were the first one that really loved you, or you loved them

If you still think of that someone years later, it probably means that you didn't get the closure that you needed to move on. In that case, if you can find them, you may just wanna call to talk or something like that. If you did get over them, it means that they are not the one that you're meant to spend your life with.

Try and see them again to talk to. I am sure even you will be surprised that you really DO NOT have the strong feelings for this person anymore, and that it is all in your fantasy.
