Hello. I am taking lexapro but the side effects seem to me very painfull (vomiting, anxiety, nausea, stomach pain, diarhea). Is it possible to combine Klonopin with lexapro?

I have been weaning off of xanax which is in the same class of drug as Klonopin. He put me on zoloft. I was already ill from the withdrawl, but zoloft made it worse. the vomiting was awful. He took me off of zoloft saying it was aggitating the situation and gave me stomach medicine. Already feel better. Lost 22 pounds. Please try and get off of the Klonopin. It is addicting and hard to withdraw. Talk to your doc. soon. before the addiction because too hard to bear.
good luck

As you know your doctor or pharmacist can better answer this question?

By why would you take Klonopin for the side effects you describe? Granted it is a member of drugs called benzodiazepines (Valium, Xanax, antivan, serex, etc) and might aid in your anxiety. But Klonopin is primarily prescribed to treat convulsive disorders such as epilepsy? I am not a doctor or pharmacist but drugs like Klonopin,Valium and the like won't have any effect on vomiting, nausea, pain or diarrhea. You would probably have better luck with something like Pepto-Bismol.

Lexapro is a anit-depressant and Klonopin is a tranquilizer. You can combine them, but if the side effects are as you mentioned with the lexapro, I would speak to your doctor and let him/her know. You may need to change your meds. If you have just started taking them, the side effects may go away in time.
