Asian supermarkets are great for this. Thai chilis are superhot and give a lot of flavor. I also love getting the Chinese chili sauce (they come in big jars) - I put it on everything.

I'm okay with the hot, hotter, hottest wings, but too much spice on shrimp and why bother with shrimp. You won't taste the shrimp just the hot.

Nigerian (Lagos) recipe:
Boils the wings in water, salt and thyme.
While doing this, prepare the following in your blender:
tomatoes, red chili peppers, dried shrimps, garlic, salt, sunflower oil. Blend it all together and toss it in a pan.
Now add the wings to this mixture and leave it on a small fire for at least one hours. Eat with rice or corn flower pancakes.
-------
Indonesian (Java) recipe:
Fresh shrimps, squid and mackerel (no bones!). Toss this in boiling water for about 3 minutes (not too long!).
Now put it all together in a oven-bowl, no butter or oil used!
Add cut tomatoes, cabbage, red chili peppers, garlic, red onions, lots of anis powder, fresh coriander leaves, salt and lots of coconut-milk or santan (= coconut cream). Mix well.
Close the bowl with a lid or alu-foil. Put in a pre-heated oven (220 Celcius) and leave it there for about 45 minutes.
Serve with rice and pickles.
Bon appetit!

Chinese chili paste is really hot, its great to cook spicy thai dishes with. Cook some chicken with it and mix some veggies in, and white rice and you have a great meal!
