Female Genital Mutilation is a horrible, painful, and violent thing, regardless of the religion behind it.
In response to the dumbass right before me, it involves cutting off the clitoris and sewing the vagina shut. That means no orgasm ever, and sex is painful for the rest of her life. It also brings complications that many girls die from. And I say girls because they do it to girls as they are entering puberty, so they remember the assault for the rest of their lives.

Well it is definitely NOT for the pleasure of a woman...I've read several articles in regards to this issue and I have seen nothing anywhere that says it creates any sort of pleasure for a woman. The woman's genitals are mutilated causing many many problems for her down the road.

They used to burn woman when they suspected witchcraft back in the Middle Age...Now they circumcise them...These practices are unnecesssary, degrading and terribly unfair to the innocent girls that have no say in what these people do to their daughters. To answer your quesion, it is for the pleasure of men who hate women and cannot accept that perhaps the reason they hate women so much is that they cannot accept their homosexuality. It goes for the same men who rape instead of sustaining a healthy relationship with the opposite sex.

This act has nothing to do with religion, some cultures are blamed for it and even women in Saudi Arabia are not circumcised. There is no verse in Islam that encourages this act.

Yes it is for the pleasure of the man. Those religious fanatics do this so that the woman would stay faithful to their husbands. I guess they are scared that their women leave them for other men.

Female circumcision is brutal and abusive. It is completely unnecessary and is done solely to increase the "value" of the woman. It almost always makes it impossible for the woman to EVER enjoy sex, also.

It is so the female will never enjoy sex, because she will not have feeling. Feeling pleasure from sex in these religions is bad and only good for the men.

a circumcised man gives greater pleasure to his wife. and since more sesitive area is exposed he gain pleasure too. the woman is able sense more so i have heard after being circumcised.... if you dont agree dont marry a circumcised man...
