The people in the area around Dracul Castle to this DAY consider him a heroic figure for standing up boldly against any and all aggressors.
The local belief is that Vlad Dracul will return some day to ensure that the castle does not fall when it is attacked in a great battle, and that the fields will once more run with the blood of criminals.
Vlad was an awesome guy. In the center of town on a pedastle there was a huge golden chalice, and anyone at all could pick it up and take a drink from it. There was a porter who kept it filled with the finest wine. The porter was under strict orders to do NOTHING but put wine in the chalice -- NOTHING. The chalice was never stolen.
In another case, a merchant went to Vlad after being robbed. The guards found the criminal and Vlad handed the money back over. The next morning, the merchant came back and handed over a gold coin and explained, "I counted my money and this is not mine, I don't know where it came from." Vlad smiled and let the merchant go on his way -- but the pike was waiting just outside the village wall for that merchant had he not brought that coin back.
For all the wrong he may have done -- he brought justice and peace to the land. And they still adore him for it.

There are many figures in the history of Islam that behaved in a manner very much like Vlad the Impaler....this includes Mohammad. Islam is one long history of nonstop evil and bloodshed toward those who never did them any harm.
Also, there is no such thing as an "anti-islamic" group. There are no formal groups that show unreasonable or distorted views of Islam. However, Islam does have a great many enemies among those it has victimized.

i'm picturing a skinny beanpole of a infant, considering you probably did not provide their a while. if it quite is the case, i might only snicker. At him, not with him. and supply him some thing to impale... Vlad the Impaler of the bean stalk! of direction, if Vlad seems to be a stout guy, he would not be Vlad the Impaler as much as Vlad the Inhaler of all issues risk-free to eat. of direction, you may desire to purely call him "Mike" for no reason particularly.

No remake is necessary, in Romania he has always been a heroic figure, on par with George Washington in the U.S. Bram Stoker, contrary to popular myth, did not base his fictional vampire on the Historical figure, the vampire in the early drafts was a German Baron, he stumbled across the name Dracula while doing research and liked the sound of it, that is the extent of the connection.
