Does your dog, all of the sudden, burst into a hyper mode? You know, they start running around the house in endless circles, from room to room and so on? Then, when they get back to you, they stop; get down on all fours, then burst into hyper mode again? Just curious. My dog does this and I always wondered if it was just my dog or if anyone elses dog did this sort of thing.

Mine barrels around the house at top speed and stops right in front of me to jump up and bark loudly before he continues on. This will go on for a few minutes until the "mood" passes, and then he'll settle down again. My dog is almost always in "hyper mode." He's a terrier.

yes, my pit bull puppy does that especially at night. he sleeps almost all day long, and by the afternoon when the sun goes down, all of a sudden, he starts running around, biting everyone, and jumping around. He gets really hyper even when he gets enough sleep. Dogs are just like that. Funny!

Yep, my dog does that too. When theyr'e young, they're called "puppy energy," but I doubt that they totally outgrow this, since my adult dog used to run around the backyard like crazy too!

Is your dog a puppy? If so, the vet told me that there is really now way to stop this energy spurt, and the best thing to do is just let your dog run around and release some built up energy. As long as he/she doesn't destroy anything in the house, I say just let them run and enjoy! :)

My chihuahua is usually like a cat, just lazes around the house all day. But everytime I give her a bath, she just goes crazy. As soon as I let her out, she just starts sprinting all around the house, jumps on the bed, shoves her face into the covers, and just starts digging and digging into nothing, and pants, and grunts and is all over the place. She usually calms down after about 30 minutes from exhaustion.

my dog gets in hyper mode sometimes. i think it stems from boredom, in addition to running around the house she will chase her tail around in circles (and actually catch it and pin it down with her back foot!).

anyway, I try to play with her a little more when she is doing it.

My dog loves that. Every time I scratch his bum he stretches his leg out as far as he can and then begins to pull himself alongside the floor with his front toes, however when you stop, he'll leap up and put my hand on his head except I do it once more. Lmao

My puppy loves that. each and every time I scratch his bum he stretches his leg out so some distance as he can and then starts to drag himself alongside the floor along with his front ft, yet once you end, he will leap up and placed my hand on his head until eventually I do it back. lmao

I'm a bloodhound and I do this when I'm bored and want to play. When your dog does this just chase him. Chase is a wonderful dog game.
