My boyfriend asked me 2 give it 2 him because he was "curious" and i said no right away....so he keept bugging me. Telling me that all of his friends know their girfriends myspace password. So....i had some messages i wanted to delete. and i told him i'd give him the password but not right now...and he started 2 think that i had something 2 hide...it wasnt really that..it was just the fact that its my freking buisness..not his. I mean, if he wants 2 know about myspace..let him make his own profile..right...well finally i gave in...ONLY after i deleted the messeges. Did i do the right thing? should i change my password?

Change your password and boyfriend.

You are allowed to have privacy and anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't need to be a part of your life.

Well, except for your parents if you are a minor. They have every right to know what's going on with your myspace page.

actually, i gave my boyfriend my password to my messenger and he gave me his. we did it because we wanted to prove how much we trusted each other. there were some things on there that i didnt want him to see, such as some of the conversations i had with other guys, but i did it anyway. i know in my heart that i love my boyfriend dearly, and no matter what i say to some other guy is going to compare to how i feel about my boyfriend. he never mentioned any of the convos to me, in fact i doubt he even got on my messenger. it was just to prove we trusted each other. so in a way, its good thing if youre able to give your boyfriend your password.

on the other hand, i dont think you should ever be forced to give your password to him. if hes acting like hes going to break up with you over it, then id just forget it. thats just controlling.

Anyone who demands you passwords, doesn't trust you. If there's no trust, the relationship isn't going to go far.

Not a good sign. Everyone has a right to their privacy. I'd never ask for a significant other's password...I either trust them, or I don't...and if I don't, then they won't be my significant other for long.

Well, first thing, do you trust your boyfriend? If you do, give the password to him. But be sure to know your boyfriend and know that he doesn't hack them. Ask his friends if he ever hacked into a girl's myspace before.

Change your password and dump your boyfriend. I know that sounds extreme but hes not worth your time. Hes possesive, controlling, and he doesnt trust you. Thats him and his character and you cant change that. Theres no point in holding yourself back with this guy when you know hes not for you. Dump him and enjoy myspace!
