Do men truely believe that they are in love with their wife or significant other, but can sleep with other people "Cuz it didn't mean nothin" or do they say they love you so they can keep you around for whatever reason they may have in their little pea brain, ie. someone to do their laundry, have sex with during a dry spell etc.

Men have evolved to continuously desire multiple mates and no amount of being told not to or coerced will ever change this.

Most men also want families and stability. They want a family life and to come home at night to their kids and the same loving and supportive woman. But they want to do the chicas. As long as they are sensible enough to do it discretely and not to allow it to interfere with their duty and responsibility to their family, there's no actual problem. They don't consider it being unfaithful because to men, sex and love are not inextricably linked.

It is the fact that women turn it into a big deal that results in the break-up of perfectly good relationships which would in all likelihood otherwise have continued to be successful, stable and until death do them part. The resulting emotional, social and financial carnage does no-one any favours, least of all the children.

It's defying nature and ultimately futile to think men should be sexually faithful.

Lots of single women are also sexually predatory but this largely ceases once they have a family. I suspect this too is more than just a social or environmental influence.

A lot of happily married men, myself included, still --- and probably always will --- look at other women and wonder what it would be like to have sex with them. An actual "transgression" only occurs when the man ACTS on his fantasies; as long as it's just "mental sex" it's neither here not there. On the other hand, once the man actually ENGAGES in extra-marital (or extra-"committed relationship") sex, then NO excuse will do and he has crossed over into untrustworthy "scumbag" territory, and no amount or kinds of excuses are valid, as in ZERO! When that happens, you might want to turn the tables on him and have a little fling yourself; you will QUICKLY see that he can't stand it when the shoe is on the other foot and he will go self-righteously ballistic EVEN IF he has already been guilty of cheating himself!

Just because a man will marry someone and have sex with another does not mean that he doesnt truly love her. He is just immature and incapable of controlling his bodies natural urges. It is wrong for anyone to cheat on thier signifigant other period, but they still love you.

I dont really appreciate the pea brain remark, but I can understand that this subject might make you upset. If you are married or with someone that is cheating on you then you should leave them.

Remember ANYONE can make a mistake. Women do this to men too.

When the opportunity presents itself, it is actually moral restraint (or lack thereof), that dictates my actions. In other words, it is more about whether or not I choose to break God's rules. Then, it comes down to a decision about accepting the practical risks to my family (i.e. the risk of getting caught, contracting STD's, etc.)

It's not about the fact that it is "just sex" or that I don't have feelings for the other woman. For men, sex is more about physical gratification. It is not so much an emotional experience or expression of love or commitment.

15 year marriage and never cheated. I travel most of the time so i had my chances but, I love her to much. I still feel very excited when we are together. Our marriage is not perfect but we "fight" to be in love.

Best wishes,
