dogs eat grass to counterbalance the rich food they eat nowadays. It also rids them of the bile that accumulates on their stomach. When they are sick it means that their stomachs were in need of a clean out. To help your dog through this, give them a small ball of butter mixed with plenty salt, they are sick within minutes and you will see the difference. I'm sure the dog will thank you......

My dog does it too. I think it has to do with grass aiding in digestion, and plus dogs love to eat everything anyway. I remember cats like to eat grass for that same reason.

Look at all the answers, I love eating grass, especially new shoots with dew on them, just like a cow. I don't want to be sick either, but sometimes my dad has to pull it out of my backside because it will not drop, ugh.
