It's called settling down. Find a nice girl, get married and have a bunch of kids and find a way to feed them and yourselves.

GOOD LUCK!!

if i were you i would reenlist AND use the tuition assistance programs available to pay for a college degree by correspondance. You'll get a degree by the end of four years (profitable to you), you'll get paid while you're getting your degree, and you will pay minimal factor for tuition since the military will cover most of it for you. Whoever your last OIC was should have been helping you with this already so that you would know what your options were/are and could take advantage of the programs which are available to soldiers. anyway, to reiterate, my advice is to reenlist and get your education, THEN look at getting out and getting a job... otherwise you're still stuck at a HS degree and no applicable experience (unless you want to work for the cops as a bomb defuser or something...)

Go work for Raytheon Lockheed or Grumann, they build bombs.
A friend of mine got a job at the Airport as a baggage handler because he loaded bombs on planes. TSA likes military experience too.
Or go back in and get some free training to do something else.

Ouch. Nice pun, but you can do anything you want. If you liked building bombs, there are lots of munitions manufacturers that would love to have your expertise on how things work in the Navy.

Same thing happened to me. Your best bet is to go straight to college and get that done. I did. Our skills are usless in the civilian world, mostly Unless you work for a military type company, but they require degrees many times and a security clearance, which you probably still have.

I'm certain you could market your talents and knowledge to become a munitions consultant to governmental units, although the State Department and DoD monitor those guys closely.

Re-enlist with a different, more useful MOS in the National Guard. It's less commitment, you can keep your rank(?), and your experience will definetly be a plus.

Well, if you have the GI Education Bill (called something else now), go to school. Take Information Technology (Computers).
IT field is always needing workers.

Find a career you like. You could be a fire fighter, police officer etc etc. Or go to college and find something new you enjoy.
