Yes, it's stress-related. I'n hypersensitive to noise and confusion, so when I get home after being around those things, I'm ready to tear someone's head off at the shoulders. Even the dog hides when I'm that wound-up.

Can you wear hearing protection or take a mild tranquilizer at your job? If it's not dangerous and your boss agrees, you might try one of them and see if they help you.

Yeah, I definitely get frustrated when people start mowing their lawn at 6:00am when I just hit the snooze to get 15 minutes more of sleep. It is aggravating, they are disturbing your peace. We should be able to relax and enjoy ourselves at home but we have inconsiderate people who thrive on making others miserable. I just wonder what is going through their heads when they do those things....do they know everyone can hear them??

if there's a word for it, i've got it. i can't STAND being in my quiet, peaceful yard and some dill hole starts up their shite power whatever!! i do everything with hand tools (push mower, clippers, etc).

besides, have you any idea how much gas lawn mowers pollute the air?
