Have your blood sugar (glucose) checked! Your doctor is familiar with this imbalance. I used to do the same thing, and that's what it was.

your body is digesting ,all that lovely grub and has not got much energy left for you.
so you get sleepy or even nap, after a good meal .
Then when all that food has been digested
And the energy is released to your tisues
you are up and active again.

Do you get so tired that you feel like laying down? That would be an overactive prostrate gland....defined as, after a big meal you feel the need to lay prostrate...

As a first measure , you should check your blood sugar. This can be a sign if diabetes. A " Glucose Tolerance Test " might be of great help.

Could be too many carbs; that'll sedate you. Or, if you have something sugary, that can make your blood sugar spike and then rapidly fall, resulting in you feeling tired or light-headed.

It could be that you are eating a lot of carbs and your blood sugar spikes and then falls. Or, you could be eating something you have a slight allergy to (dairy, wheat, nuts, etc).
