Because it is easier for someone to attack Christianity as baseless if they claim that Christians are ignorant.
It would also distort their illusion of having an intellectual superiority if they thought that we Christians could actually think for ourselves.
Those who attack us do so only because they think they are saving us from or own ignorance. They can not or will not believe that we have made an intelligent decision to believe what we believe based on an intense study.
At any rate, I really could care less about their attacks. I will continue to believe, I will continue to praise God and profess His name, regardless of anyones opinion of me. I don't have to answer to them, I do have to answer to God.

You start off wonderfully explaining how you researched the question and came up with this answer that suited you best. Where you go wrong is to say "there is simply too much evidence to deny it." I believe that Christ existed, yes, but not that he was the Messiah. And I would never say Christians are "blind" because of what they believe; some people would say that I'm blind for being Jewish and, in fact, Christians have said that to me. I have researched also and found Judaism to be the most sensible and satisfying religion for me and I am not blind, either.

It is possible to utilize mathematics, and logic to determine truth, and still believe in ID. You just have to ignore occam's razor. As an american, we have the right to believe whatever we want. We don't have the right to teach something that is not science in science class to other people's children. That's the ID debate. ID fails the science test, therefore should not be taught as biology.
Forcing other faiths' children to accept ID or face failing grades is forcing your religion on others, which is strictly forbidden (and rightly so).
As for the Bible, whether it's true or not doesn't change the fact that it is filled with religious bigotry, sanctioned slaughters of thousand innocent women and children, and misogyny of women. If you choose to believe the Bible as literal truth, you cannot take only part of it, you need to take the whole thing.

Thank you. I too am tired of all these Atheist thinking that just because you believe in God you cannot think straight about anything else. That somehow as soon as you take God and Christ into your life you become some Blind Bible thumping cult fanatic who only has one agenda. To inconvenience all the non-believers. There are quite a few extremely intelligent people out there who still have the courage too look past the obvious to the unknown and give there heart too a higher purpose. Thank you for being one of them. Peace.

I believe that the evidence is very strong.. I would also say it also has a strong scientific foundation... I don't know how many time I have had to tell the haters the basic of that evidence.. I can't say that matter of faith can be proven but God didn't ask us to have blind faith either. You are right about the evidence but clam down a bit calling it proof.... Jim

Those that are non-believers have only one tool to work with because they can not win any other way. Claiming that they are smarter then you and I makes them feel that they are better then us. Truth be told, they have been dumbed down to a point that they actually believe that. Education does not and never will equal intelligence. You is either intelligent or not intelligent. You can not teach common sense. And you can not make a person more intelligent.

That's easy.
They have all ready made up their minds; don't confuse them with facts.
It doesn't matter what type of evidence, how much evidence or how many testimonies of God's work in peoples' lives or how many inexplainable miracles we Christians post on here or talk about.
There are just those who are hard headed and don't want to believe.
We can do little about it but keep testifying and pray that our message reaches those most in need of it.
And pray for the rest.

Get real. IF you had asked the hard questions and researched, you would have never come to believe in Jesus Christ to begin with. Christianity is, at best, a flawed religion that has borrowed concepts and ideology from any number of other religions throughout history. Yes, Christ existed, but there is no proof that he performed "miracles" or that he was THE son of god. In fact, the entire concept that god would need a son to sacrifice is entirely faulty at best. If god can do anything, why on earth would he need to PROVE his own existence to us by sending his son for us to kill him? Silly superstition that people use to take advantage of others and justify their own behavior.

The Christians had been carried away, by the theory of trinity, and now they are stuck with this ideology, and don't do any further research.
There are further studies out there, which tracked the foot steps of Jesus after Crucifixion. he travel led towards, India and died at the age of 120 years, and his tomb is in Srinagar Kashmir. Further research can be done at www.thetombofjesus.com or www.alislam.org

"God exists because the Bible says so, and the Bible is true because God says so" isn't logic. Well, it's not GOOD logic, anyway.
And yeah, I agree with the first poster. You mentioned evidence for the Bible in previous questions of yours, too. Are you ever going to tell us what evidence you mean?
