Been lifting weights for a long time. Im 37 and bench press and tricep excercises are killing the tips of my elbows. Im thinking its bursitis. Both elbows started hurting about the same time right on the very tips. Im not doing anything different than I have for years. Its really starting to bother me alot. I dont want to stop working out but I need my elbows to last a long. Any suggestions?

The tiny muscles in your elbows are not made to take allot of weight, so when you train chest, shoulders, bi/tri and back, you work the hell out of these guys.
1) lower your weights a little for a least a month.
2) Make sure you are not 'breaking parallel' when you lift- if you don't know what that means, research and look at good body building mags until it makes sense.
3) anti inflammatory
4) Use 'salon-pas' topical 'pain' patches, they are a menthol patch that helps with joint pain.

I train hard (3 hrs, 4-6 times a week with a pro body builder) and allot of big guys kill their elbows because they are tryin to lift too much weight without paying attention to form.

Perfect form= perfect definition and size :)

Hey there
You could try easing up on the training for a bit, try working on another body part every second day. Does it help if you take anti-inflammatories? I'd recommend seeing a Doctor if it doesn't sort itself out in a couple of weeks. Good luck.
