1.AIDS is one of the most serious, deadly diseases in human history.
2.AIDS is caused by HIV which stands for the Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
3.HIV/AIDS is spread through unprotected oral, vaginal, or anal sex and sharing drug needles.
4.HIV/AIDS can be avoided by abstaining from sex, always using condoms, avoiding contact with the bodily fluids through which HIV is transmitted, and never sharing needles.
5.There is no cure for AIDS, which makes prevention so important.

Well Dear............another grammatical error! Surely you mean what are aids?
Well I, for example, have several, prosthetic leg, stairlift and a wee battery driven thing that Mr Mills bought me for Christmas one year - but I never did find out what it was for!

i think it stands for aquired immune defiecney syndrome. Contracted when someone who has the virus has sex with someone, or by shared needles. During sex it is contracted by the bodily fluids. AIDS' it self does not kill you, it weakens your immune system and you die of infections and sorts of things like that.
