There are two sizes of pedals, 1/2 and 9/16. The 1/2 are for one piece cranks. The 9/16 are for 3 piece cranks (arms bolt to center spindle). The two are not interchangeable. Match the diameter of the pedal spindles to make sure you have the correct size. Like Sabre said, there is a left and right pedal. The pedal will have either an "L" or an "R" stamped into it somewhere on the spindle. The left side will also have ridges on the spindle (where the wrench goes to tighten/loosen the pedal).

If its only pedals and not cranks too then yes but remember one pedal has a left hand thread.
