Haven't read the book, but I watch Joel Osteen every sunday morning. He is an awesome preacher. His book focuses on what his sermons are about. I've been to alot of churches and so far, he is the best preacher I have found. He really knows how to put the scriptures into senerios we face today. GOD bless you and GOD bless Joel Osteen.

If you want to hear a preacher that preaches the whole counsel of God's Word in a way that leaves you encouraged and with a smile on your face check out Pastor Paul Sheppard @ http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/enduring_truth/archives.asp

I've never heard Joel preach but I've heard that while he is encouraging and has a lot of practical advice, he is a little short on teaching people how to live a life that is truly pleasing to God. Where he is reported to have fallen short, Pastor Paul comes through in all areas in a big way!

He is o.k. has a speaker/preacher/book author. He may even have some spiritual values that I am currently not fully appreciating. In one sense, he comes across as a 'feel good' preacher. Considering that I do believe 'for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God' perhaps there is more to him than I currently perceive.

His ministry and his books are a good start, BUT, he does not teach the "rest of the story".

I am grateful that he has peaked your interest in God and his will and way.

Please read and reread your bible and gain knowledge of the rest of the story. It is not all about money and happiness, for if it were there would be no depressed and empty inside rich people.

I have seen him on TV.

He is a good speaker and makes you feel good.

He is very careful not to ever step on any ones toes though, he does not push what our responsibilities to God are at all.

To me it is a light, feel good ministry. Kinda like the dressing without the Turkey.

I don't mind hearing him, I just would not leave my Catholic faith for him.

Peace!

I really like him. I think that he makes a lot of sense in his sermons. He talks more about than preaches about everyday problems. Good man God bless him.
