A movie is not a good 1st date...you two need a chance to get to know each other and talking through a movie will find those around you getting upset.
Go to a pizza parlor, restaurant or some public place that is not noisy so you can speak without screaming.
Be relaxed and have fun and save the flick for the 2nd or 3rd date.
Good luck and may God bless you both!

I like going and doing something that we both have in common and is fun..
Sometimes that IS a movie.. with desert someplace afterwards
Sometimes is just dinner
Sometimes is something silly like miniture golf
Sometimes is a concert/sports event/art show
it all depends.. the important things are 1) have fun 2) be yourself 3) spend some of the night talking 4) ALWAYS bring your own "protection" - you never know when the mood can strike!

I would say the best thing to do if your going to a movie is go to dinner afterwords. This way you can see the movie first, and then when you go out to dinner, you have a topic that both of you can speak about and relate to. If anything, it is a good conversation starter.

Why not go out to eat before u go to the movies or do something afterwards. U dont have to do just one thing on a date.. unless u have a curfue then i would go before. Doing something u both enjoy dont mean its bad just coz u cant talk the whole time. You only got so much to talk about :)

the movies are ok yes, but i am in favour of somewhere that you can talk and get to know each other, maybe a picnic in the park or just a walk round a zoo or something. after all first dates are all about getting to know one another.

Movie or a dinner is fine as long as getting to know each other is in the plans. You will never know until you see for yours self.

I would recommend dinner and a movie. Just because with a movie only, you really can't talk so you can't get to know them. Or bowling would be cool too.

If you are shy movies is good. You could go for a few drinks after and discuss the film, then you don't have to worry about finding something to talk about!

Go to the movies and enjoy then later you can stil grab something to eat, and if you find him boring at least you will have something to talk about (the movie).
