Best moment without anyone else and not giving birth must be standing on the top of a mountain on the almost prefect summers day and looking back at the trail I had climbed to get there. The beauty of of the world around us is the best thing we leave to our kids

It was in speech class in college. We were to give an informative speech. Mine was instructions on how NOT to cut hair and meant to be mildly amusing. When I described the flat-top I gave my son the burst of loud laughter was like nothing I'd ever experienced before. I was doomed from then on to be the life of the party. Being able to make people laugh, even at my own expense is a gift I was given about 40 years ago. (Oh yes, my 10 year old son had been intently watching TV with his head tilted to one side. His flat-top was perched neatly over one ear!)

When I gave birth to my two kids.
I got a huge promotion that I didn't even ask for because it was way above my job level. It doubled my salary within two years.
Also I wasn't a popular kid in school and then I won a local contest and got to do some modeling. That helped me become more accepted.
When I was able to buy my two homes.

January 11Th 1996, the day I got my beautiful dog, I had wanted a golden retriever since I was 7 years old and finally got her just a few weeks after my 40th birthday, so worth the wait.

Third Sunday of March, 2003. The day I quit living for myself and started living for Jesus Christ, which coincidentally made my life fuller and more satisfying than it ever was before! By learning to need less over wanting more, I have become happier than I've ever been.

I guess, for me, the best moment of my life was when I received my bachelor's degree--at the age of 41--and it was awarded magna *** laude.
I'd accomplished this as the single mother of two children, one with developmental disabilities, so it was, for me, a major achievement.
