I have been losing my hair for the last 4 years. It is getting really thin. I have had 3 open heart surgeries due to a congenital heart defect and think there may be a connection. I thought about getting a wig bust most of them look so fake. I thought about hair transplant surgery or hair replacement like Hair Club but it is too expensive. Any suggestions.
P.S. I don't like the bandana look

Before you do anything (like spend a ton of money) please research your options.

Wigs have come a long way in recent years. Lace fronts are what all the celebs. are wearing. And human hair wigs like the brand Yaffa are gorgeous. There is also "toppers" that are inhancers (they work fabulous) and you can purchase them from most on-line wig stores.

I have severe thinning on top from Alopecia and had a custom hairpiece / topper made by an actual wig maker at Hair Couture located in Camarillo, CA. I flew in from Dallas Texas to make sure that they were legit and that they were in fact actual wig makers (some places are now claiming they are actual wig makers but they have their hairpieces and wigs made in China!) I met with Theresa and she is exceptionally talented! Actually the entire staff is empathetic, stylish, loving and caring. I did break down and cry and I must have had 3 women hugging me. I met a wonderful woman in the salon that has had her hairpiece that was made by one of the wig makers their for over 5 years. She was getting a repair done. I happened to find the most beautiful Caucasian virgin unprocessed hair topper / hairpiece with a silk top that was almost my exact color. They colored it to match my own hair the same day. I have had it now for over 1 year and it still looks new. I flew in last week to Los Angeles and had some hair added to the front the other week and they made an appointment and did it on the spot. I went out for lunch, came back and it was ready. I spent the night in Malibu with my sister. and went home the next day.

You can get a "Net" Weave. They braid your hair and put a net over the braids. It helps to allow the hair parts that are too thin to be covered. It's not very expensive depending on where you go. Maybe as cheap as $150. It lasts about 3 to 4 months. You can wash it and style it like its your own. I

Get your hair transplant surgery in India. Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.

I have also read that they arrange financing for American and Canadian patients, as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

My cousin got a couple of cosmetic surgery procedures in India like the breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift through the forerunners healthcare. She is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. I personally have seen the wonderful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company. I hope this helps.

First you have to find a wig that best fits you, and then you just have to know how to make the wig youre wearing look like its your hair.My sister wears wigs all the time and it doesn't look like it, you just have to find the best fit.Don't buy wigs that are too shiny or too dull looking. Take care of your wig as if its your real hair
