I read the bible and pray as usual but i dont go to church. Not all churchs, but i have found out that there is much corruption in churches nowdays and the most of the congregation are hypocrites, though we all are not perfect. I am a christian with no denomination. I believe in God and Jesus as the son of God and my savior. Do you go? Why or why not?

All that you are doing is fabulous and what you said is true there is a lot of false people and prophets in the churchs but they are everywhere and the bible says forsake not the assembling of yourselves together and also it says where two or more are gathered together in my name there i am also. The Lord already knows these things go on he just wants us to be faithful and remember that he is in control. Find a small church to go to those are the ones that seem to really be serving the Lord.

God Bless

I don't go and never have. Never belonged to any church and most probably never will. But I have been a Christian most of my life. I am sorry to say that some of the worst people I have known go to church every Sunday. Hypocrites is an understatement.

Most Christian churches have a mission that they are on that has little or nothing to do with the problems at hand. Seems to me that most only want to build a bigger church.

Although I don't fault anyone for going or not, I do fault them for their actions. Catholic churches are all about money as are most Baptist churches, they welcome you in, give you a short honeymoon, and then stick their hand out. And why it that there are Catholic hospitals and their prices are the same as other hospitals, or even higher? And just where does all the money go.

But my favorite are the TV religions, they don't want to sell you a book, but you can get for a GIFT of $50.00 or something like that.
And, of course, there is conflict in churches. My ex-wife left a church because she felt that her singing was not being appreciated enough and that she only had one solo. Go figure?

It is very important for Christians to worship together as the Bible tells us at:
Hebrews 10:24-25: "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

Most churches are still teaching the Nicean Creed and the trinity of three persons so sometimes it is best to stay away I agree. Some churches teach faith apart from good - that is terrible too.

Apocalypse Explained 22.

Grace be unto you and peace. That this signifies the delight of truth and of good, is evident from the signification of grace, as being the delight of truth, of which more will be said in what follows; and from the signification of peace, as being the delight of the good of innocence and love (respecting which see the work, Heaven and Hell, where the State of Peace in heaven is treated of, n. 284-290). The reason why grace denotes the delight of truth, is because there are two things that go forth from the Lord, united in their origin, but divided in those who receive them. For there are some who receive Divine truth more than Divine good, and some who receive Divine good more than Divine truth. Those who receive Divine truth more than Divine good, are in the spiritual kingdom of the Lord, and are therefore called spiritual; but those who receive Divine good more than Divine truth, are in the celestial kingdom of the Lord, and are therefore called celestial. (Respecting those two kingdoms in heaven and the church, see the work, Heaven and Hell, n. 20-28.)

Yes. I find that it focuses me on a sense of purpose and/or direction, gives me peace of mind when I am troubled, and connects me to the community.

I don't see why you'd be disappointed that other church goers aren't perfect. In light of the above, I'd be suprised if they were any less sinful than you or I and also, if they were, there'd be no more need for churches, wouldn't there?
