No, I think people still have a conscience these days. It's just that year after year, it becomes more acceptable to supress that conscience. As though their are always justifications for doing whatever you want, and afterwards going "Oh, Well".
But after enough time has passed, and wisdom has accumulated, most people see that they were wrong. I'm not saying that means they understand what the right thing was. But they know deep down that they are, or were doing something very wrong, and have problems being happy in general.
When it comes to ignoring one's conscience, there is eventually a backlash of kharma. What goes around comes around, and all that.

Not sure about the lack of, but some choose to ignore it. When I have a guilty conscience, I feel it's God telling me to do the right thing. I have a choice, I can do the next right thing and when I do that, usually I have a really good day!

I don't think so. The world would be a much worse place if most people did whatever they wanted. Some countries are messed up with religion and politics (causing war) but that doesn't mean that most of the civilians have no conscience (or even agree with what is going on in their countries).

It's hard to talk about most people and give a definitive answer about anything. I think circumstances today tend to make people more apathetic toward others. I would find it hard to believe that people lack a conscience, but I would say that a lot of people simply ignore it.

it probably seems like a lot of people don't have a conscience but there is actually a psychological condition of folks who really don't have one (like some criminals) and i don't think it's a very common condition; so, most folks have one, they just don't show it. after all, the conscience is inside your head--just because it's telling you you're being a jerk, doesn't mean you have to listen to it, or let anyone else know that you know you're being a jerk.

Sure. It seems many people today form their values very loosely, from their peers and popular culture, which is poor consciousness formation.
There is not a strong sense of right and wrong any more. "Do what feels good for you every few minutes" is not necessarily a moral nor a healthy path!

PLEASE supply the tape to the police. you would be a hero in case you do. i'm particularly particular which you will no longer get in hassle- given which you swap it in, it extremely is. there is each and every sort of hassle you may get in in case you do no longer and the data is got here upon in any different case. On a private word, it may desire to be complicated to proceed to be nameless in case you swap it in to the police, yet you could desire to in all probability save it on the down low. seek advice from her boyfriend approximately it (in a relaxed way, of direction) and enable the police cope with the rapist.

yeah, in my experience it seems ok for people to cheat on someone or abuse them if they feel they can, like they're superior or something, or maybe they just aren't being fulfilled or something, either way yeah and its a bunch of bullshit as it never takes the victims of it into consdieration
