I serve a living God but have never come acrose that reverance Jesus said he will denounce some that he knew them not that is the closest I can think of

Huh? We're talking living as opposed to dead, right? And you say that we have been warned NOT to serve a living god? That we are ordered to serve a dead god?

well, first off, i doubt any god spoke in king james' terms. second, the only living god is Jesus, sooooo, if you serve him, then it does not say that. therefore mine doesnt say that.
