Yes, we do need these people to do these jobs. Your middle class society will be wiped out when u all have to start paying $10.00 a pound for chicken and vegetables then you will take to thieving in the streets and prostituting just to survive.

If illegals would stick to the jobs "no American wants" maybe there wouldn't be such an outcry.
But when my brother, a construction worker for 15 years, can't get work because he's being under-bid by 40% because his competitor uses illegals making 10 to 12 an hour instead of Americans wanting 18-24, I stop having sympathy for them.

The problem with your question is that it is a myth that immigrants take jobs away. There should be open borders for all workers -- free trade as Bush likes to promote. The labour market will decide who works where. The # of jobs increases with the population.

Anyone hiring or harboring an illegal worker should be fined and jailed on the first offense.
The second time take their business license away.
The third time deport the employer to the country they are supporting.
