No you are not, because you are specifying. Most of the people who are being singled out as "racist" begin their statements with "those damn Mexicans..." or "The problem with those wet-backs is..."
However, you have to look at the severity of the crime. When considering someone a criminal.
Someone who rapes, molests, kills...those people are definitely criminals.
Someone who steals medications to treat their sick or dying child...criminal?
Someone who steals a loaf of bread to feed their starving family...criminal?
Someone who takes a big risk for a chance at providing a safe home and better future for their children...criminal?
Not everyone who crosses that border does it just to say "look what I did...try and stop me"
Most cross because the reward outweighs the risk, sometimes living 20 to a house in a poor neighborhood, living day to day, is far better a life than what they came from.
Do you have children?
When I look at my son I want him to have all the opportunities I never had, all parents want that. That is why my grandfather crossed, a chance for his children to live and prosper, a chance at the American dream.
Sometimes I wonder what the U.S. would be if it wasn't for the brave few who crossed.... my grandfather never condoned what he did, but he told his children...here is your chance, now make it worth it...give back. My grandfather and his children have repaid their debt time and again. They have served in the military and seen 4 wars, graduated from college, raised children who have gone on to become productive positive role models. Never have I met citizens who were more “American” than my father’s family.
That is the definition of the American dream. Can you fault them for dreaming?
Ponder this.... is all "criminal activity" rooted in "evil or spite" or is there such a thing as a "necessary evil"?
But no, you are not a racist. I think you are just honestly confused on how to feel or where to stand on the subject that has so much ignorance and intolerance surrounding it. I applaud the honesty in your question, and hope you can understand my view.
I don't expect you to accept my views, but realize that only when you walk a mile in someone else's shoes... only then, can you make your stand.

Do you really KNOW that they commited a crime? Like, did you see it happen? Then no. If you didnt and you ASSUME they are criminals then you got no clue. We all want illegals out, but i dont want you comming up to me and telling me I am illegal only because I am Asian!
