This is my friend he was stopped last night and he's American. Does he goes to jail in Canada or America and what else would he get?

hopefully, unlike bambi slayer says, that you end up staying in canada than in usa. Because as far as I know usa is the root problem of all wars. They supply the weapons and they vote for idiots in politics.
The consequences are jail and license suspension.

Hopefully they will make you stay in Canada. That's far worse a punishment than anything else I can think of.
