just because human dogma regarding heaven, or anything else spiritual changes, does not mean that the facts of these things have changed.
Humans, have a long history of rewriting truth into their own opinions. This is no reason to question reality.

It didn't change, people did.

On the new earth, in which righteousness dwells, God will provide an eternal home for the redeemed and a perfect environment for everlasting life, love, joy, and learning in His presence. For here God Himself will dwell with His people, and suffering and death will have passed away. The great controversy will be ended, and sin will be no more. All things, animate and inanimate, will declare that God is love; and He shall reign forever. Amen. (2 Peter 3:13; Isa. 35; 65:17-25; Matt. 5:5; Rev. 21:1-7; 22:1-5; 11:15.)

What bearing does a subjective concept have on a reality? If it is real it is unknowable to those in the material world so the nature of heaven is not influenced by what people think. The astral plane-the lower levels of the spirit world is different. It is only shaped by what people think it will be like. What the unenlightened think they're getting in the afterlife is what they will get for as Buddha taught our thoughts ultimately create the reality we experience.

My concept of heaven comes from the Bible, which has not changed. There may be different versions, but I've never known of any amendments to it.

Because only one who has ever been there has come back to tell us what it's really like. And folks have listened to his words in light of their culture and times. Therefore, we have imagined heaven differently. And the one? His name is Jesus.

It hasn't changed. We don't know what Heaven is really like anymore than we know what God looks like or if He looks like anything. He chooses not to tell us that. We can only really guess. We know we'll be happy. That hasn't changed.
