Perfect choice. Not only is it compatible...
* SanDisk is a great brand, very reliable
* 1GB will hold a few 100 jpg files, so a bigger card shouldn't be neccessary
* And the Ultra 2 line is fast enough to handle anything the IXUS can throw at it - the extra write speed of SanDisk Extreme 3 and 4 cards only pays off with dSLR cameras.
