Reflux is usually caused by the valve or muscle at the upper end of the stomach being immature and allowing feedings to come back up. With age this muscle will mature and the reflux will improve.
Continue breast feeding: Reflux is milder in babies that breast feed.
Feed Smaller Amounts: Reflux is always worse with overfeeding. It is better to feed your infant small amounts more frequently than giving a large amount and overfilling the stomach.
Frequent Burping: You should try to burp your child frequently during each feeding.
Thicken Feedings: add 1-2 teaspoons of Rice cereal to each ounce of formula to thicken it up. Stop if you don't notice any improvement in 3-5 days.
Positioning: Avoid seated or upright positions and vigorous activities after feedings. Also avoid putting pressure on their abdomen after meals.
I used Enfamil AR (added rice) which is thicker than most formulas. Seem to help. Mine cried 14-18 hours. Good news he out grew it.

The first thing to try is change the formula. If the problem continues try to have smaller amounts given more often because many times babies will over eat and their stomachs will distend. If it is forceful then consider pyloric stenosis (rare at his age though and more typical around 4 weeks. The child could also have a mild obstruction or be constipated. Ask your doctor about reflux, causes and such. Maybe the child has a hiatal hernia which may require surgery.

It may be the type of formula being used. Maybe a more gentle one will help. A friend of mine's niece went through the same thing with her little girl. She did this for about 6 months, but I'm not sure what they did, as I lost contact. I hope it gets resolved soon!

Not sure if there is one where you live, But in UK we have the National Childbirth trust and you can get donor breast milk. Have you tried donor breast milk? Otherwise I would seek further medical advice. A consultant Paediatrician would be my choice

He may be drinking too fast . Burp him more frequently after short intervals while feeding ; and be sure no-one is absent-mindedly rocking the baby when or after he feeds .
