But we have different friends and I'm afraid that I won't fit in with his group of friends (who is very close by the way). Don't get me wrong. They're just more social than I am. What should I do?

Well if you both have feelings for each other, then everything's OK. But there are definitely some communication issues, because this guy should not be going around telling his pals he has feelings for you without telling YOU!!! You need to sit down with this guy and have an open, honest little talk. It seems odd that you have to hear it from his friends...

OK issue one. The second issue is... you don't like his friends. Well if they are just more social, that means either you should be more social or convince your guy to be less social or meet somewhere in the middle.

Hate to say it, but life will teach you this. Friends will come and go, love is forever. Really good true and worthwhile friends stick with you through anything you go through. Besides, if this ends up being "the guy", you will spend most of your time with each other and friends will just be the fuzzy borders around the edge of your frame.

i met someone that i thought i had feelings for like you i didn't fit in with them i was a country boy and they were from the city and it never worked out cause she didn't like my friends and i didn't like hers i tried to fit in but i was never happy and from personal experience your happiness is what should take priority because if you are not happy they will not be happy. but every situation is different and you must decide for your self if you will be happy hanging out with his friends and will he be happy hanging out with your friends.

i think it is up to you. if you really like him then you should not really care what/who his friends are! ask him out and i think it sounds like it will turn out well! if you think that his friends will hurt you in some way then talk to him and tell him that you feel that way.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't let what you percieve as fitting in control your life, you must be very young.
