When a cat suddenly start eating the litter, it's usually a sign of some sort of nutritional deficiency. But this is in adult cats.....

It's not uncommon for kittens to experiment with eating all sorts of things...litter included. But it's not ok because it can accumulate in the intestines and cause a fatal blockage. If you're not using clumping litter, it shouldn't be a problem....just avoid the clumping stuff until you can get kitty to stop eating it. It would be better to just avoid litter altogether....go with shredded newspaper or soil for a little while. CLEAN soil, no pesticides or fertilizers.

NO especially if it is CLUMPING cat litter! to house train our kitties, sometimes we just bring in dirt and mix with regular cat litter or some people shred newspaper and use it in the litter box, but you definately don't want kittens eating that clumping stuff... it turns to clay and plugs them RIGHT UP!!!! just wet some of it in a glass and see what it does... you'll know if it looks like playdoh, DON't let your kitten eat it!!!! Change your litter!

I think it's a bad idea. I use World's Best Cat Litter which is made from corn. It clumps, is disposable through our sewer system and environmentally friendly.

If the kittens get some in between their toes it won't hurt if they eat it.

are the muddle packing containers to tall for the cat to climb into or out of? each so often shifting the packing containers will additionally confuse the little kitty. Is she only pooping or is she urinating in all places too? you may not enable her consume the pup nutrition, cats prefer diverse nutrition than canines, isolating her feeding time from his may well be a stable thought, i'm fairly particular the vet will back me up on that one.

it's not alright for cats to eat litter because litter is clay, and it can block up their intestines.

You may want to start using shreded newspaper for a while until the kitten gets over that phase.
