It's tough to stop if you can't catch her in the act. I'd kennel her when you're gone to prevent it from happening when you aren't there. When you are home, take an empty soda can and fill it with a few pennies or small stones. Plug the hole. When she's digging, toss the can at her (you shouldn't try to hit her), the goal is to scare her when she's digging so she'll stop. Or if you hate your neighbors, get an air horn and blast that!

In the meantime, put her poop in every hole she digs. Dogs usually will go back to the same hole and the poop will stop that, so at some point it may stop it. The poop hole thing stopped my dogs.

The easiest and cheapest way I know is to shake black pepper all over the yard that way when the dog sniffs the ground for someone to dig the pepper smell will make them think twice.

Believe it or not this works. Take some of her own poo and refill the dirt in the hole and put the poo on top. I have 3 dogs and this worked like a charm. I'm NOT kidding.

Tobasco Sauce!!!! We did that to get out dog to stop - Put a couple of dashes in the spots that they are digging -they will leave it alone - it wont burn them cause they smell it and are not dumb enough to actually lick it.

Put her doggy poo in each of the holes. Dont rebury the holes. Just keep doing that until she figures that a hole means dog poo there! hehe
It works!

When you come home and see the holes...grab her by the scruff of the neck and pull her where the hole is. Then push her nose into the hole and shout "no!" This worked for me.
